Easter affords us many indulgences, but there are none quite so excusable at breakfast, as Hasselback Hot Cross Buns!
The beauty of this recipe is that it can be adapted according to how ‘healthy’ you want it to be... which might be more or less, on any given day. When we spotted the idea on @whatiateforbreakfast’s feed, the gaps in the buns were stuffed with chocolate spread and banana before baking. We opted instead, for a little butter and maple syrup, which resulted in a more neutral ‘breakfasy’ bake which would pair well with fruit/yoghurt! That said, the options are endless.
