‘Chromatics’ can influence how food and drink tastes, and even change our appetite!

Updated: Dec 1, 2021

Every now and then, you stumble upon a factoid that makes science of something you’ve probably long known anyway!

For example, that the colour of a room - aka. ‘chromatics’ - can influence how food and drink tastes, and even change our appetite!

This is according to a 2009 study, where researchers separated groups of wine drinkers into rooms lit with various colour fluorescent lights.

Apparently, those drinking in red ambient light found the wine to be richer, sweeter, more satisfying and worth paying more for!

It adds weight to the theory that not only is every day a school day, but also that going to the red-lit @themarlowbarandgrill with an oldest pal, is possibly one of the best ways to get the most *feel-good* out of going out (out)!
