Buy a doer-upper, they said! It’ll be fun… they said!

Back in May, I wrote a post about whether ‘wellness’ (which is so widely linked to comfort and self-care) can ever thrive not just IN SPITE of the absence of these things… but because of it!

The post was an ode to the power of resilience-builders.

The short-term ‘pains’, which prevail before the long term gains.

At the heart of the musing - the rough and tumble of the ‘renovation life!’

This not-for-the-faint-hearted existence, presents very real ‘obstacles’ to health (namely the absence of homeliness, and the abundance of mess!!)

It’s a reality which can seem directly at odds with ‘wellness’, but open closer inspection, I feel there might be a high chance that what the experience lacks in ‘wholesomeness’, it might make up for in the ‘hardiness’ it creates!!
