Baked Feta Pasta: ‘The simplicity of this idea is what makes it well worth the hype it’s generating’

Updated: Feb 23, 2021

We know that bandwagons can be a bore, but every now and then, one crops up that is just too good not to jump on.

This week, it’s the Baked Feta Pasta recipe that is currently doing the rounds on Tiktok.

The premise is this: Place a block of feta on a baking dish, then surround it with cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is soft, then mash it all together and stir in your favourite cooked/drained pasta.

The simplicity of this idea is what makes it well worth the hype it’s generating on social media. That, and the fact there’s so much scope for taking the idea, and personalising it according to taste and dietary requirements.

Whether via the addition of different ingredients in the ‘sauce’ base, or by switching the pasta to gnocci or even cannelleni beans (just add toast). The options are endless, and this, in itself, makes the baked feta pasta idea a handy hack to have up our sleeves at this time, especially when our home cooking repertoire might be running out of steam to keep us interested.

Head over to Instagram for the recipe.
